Romo Durable Graphics
As a graphics printer, Romo
manufacturers products that have function and enhance our
customer's manufacturing process, product appearance and
performance. What does that mean? Each product we make is custom.
Your artwork. Your colors. Your performance specifications.
We welcome challenging
opportunities.
Romo recently acquired Chicago Decal
Company based in Burr Ridge, Ill. Chicago Decal's parent company,
Chicago Freight Car, has made a strategic business redirection that
doesn't include the printing industry. At the same time, Romo was
looking for ways to expand capabilities and strengthen market
position. Merging the two companies presented a great opportunity
for both.
We invest heavily in quality and research and
development for the future.
History of Romo
- Romo began as a signage and in-store graphics printer for the
retail industry in Green Bay, Wis. in 1953. Over the years, our
focus has evolved from in-store signage and lettering to durable
graphics that perform.
- As one of the first printers in the area, Romo became involved
with the Green Bay Packers organization by hand lettering each
stall in the team locker room. When Vince Lombardi needed a logo to
represent the Green Bay Packers, Romo created the "G" that is
recognized around the world today.
- We have been printing pressure-sensitive decals for 50 years -
specializing in the OEM market with our ultra-violet (UV),
abrasion, and solvent-resistant coatings. Along the way, we've
grown to provide value to our customers by implementing programs
that help manage inventory and support their strategic intent.
- In-mold Graphic Solutions was added in 2000. These labels have
similar benefits of pressure-sensitive decals with the capability
of being molded directly into plastic parts. Our coating technology
has set a performance standard in the plastics decorating
industry.
- Combining removable adhesive and dry-erase coating gave birth
to SlapStick Graphics in 2008. In the school market, SlapStick
converts a chalkboard into a whiteboard by covering the surface.
Digitally cut to size, peel and stick, easy to install.
