Commitment to Quality and Research and Development
Romo has been ISO 9001:2000 certified since 2004 and updated
certification to ISO 9001:2008 in 2009. This quality management
system (QMS) applies to all processes throughout the manufacturing
and printing process. If you're interested in a copy of our current
certificate, contact our quality manager, Brent Dietzman email@example.com.
We pride ourselves on continually
testing to customer specifications throughout the print process.
This is one way we work with you to engineer products that
Benefits of quality
- Failure Mode Effects Analysis process during product design
minimizes field failure and design risk.
- Continuous improvement programs result in low parts per million
defective and shorter lead times.
- Lot certification process ensures product performance is
consistent with customer specifications.
- Vendor managed inventory programs that minimize obsolete
Research and Development
With more than 38 years of combined
experience, Romo's chemists focus on ink and material
compatibility. We continually improve our ink to provide longer
durability of our products. Customers have challenged us to develop
applications like 3000 commercial wash cycle and 10-year
salt-water/UV soak. We welcome new ideas and opportunities to
create better products.
Each part is testing in a QEV chamber
to simulate aging in an outdoor environment with humidity, UV
exposure, and heat. We can determine how long inks will last for 10
years in just 4 weeks! Before an in-mold label is shipped, a
sampling is tested for ink adhesion, steel plate static level,
solvent/cleaner/abrasion resistance, water & heat aging.
