In-mold Graphic Solutions

Over the past decade, in-mold decorating has surged throughout Europe and the United States. By eliminating the secondary decorating application, it has allowed companies to become leaner.

Romo developed in-mold labels in response to our customers' complaints associated with scrap caused by decorating (pad printing, decals, hot stamping, etc). Over the past ten years, our R&D department has developed in-mold material, inks and coatings for polyolefin/polypropylene, nylon, and ABS resins. We specialize in projects that require durability over time and through environmental elements.

  • Reduce labor cost associated with secondary operations like decal application, hot stamping, heat transfer, and pad printing.
  • Enhance product appearance and better brand recognition.
  • Automatic one-step process eliminating cycle time for products that go through multiple operations.
  • Eliminate undesirable profile.
  • Minimize scrap associated with complex decorating processes.
  • Extended durability by fusing graphic to resin.
  • Injection and compression molding process.

Current Markets:

  • Medical waste containers
  • Recycling containers
  • Office and school furniture
  • Outdoor furniture
  • Lawn and garden equipment
